Chelmont is a primarily Hispanic neighborhood in El Paso, Texas, found between highways 10, 20, 54, 62, 80, 85, 180 and 375. As a part of El Paso, it is close to the Texas/Mexico border. The community population was 118,485 at the last poll taken. The average household size is 2.9 people. Chelmont encompasses eight zip codes, approximately 48 square miles and the El Paso International Airport. Residents have access to plenty of apartment dwellings, with rents ranging from $400.00 to $1,000.00 per month. They also enjoy eating out where they will find ethnic and American foods as well. Both resident and visitor alike enjoy plenty of entertainment to include an annual Cinco De Mayo celebration and what Chelmont doesn't offer the big city of El Paso certainly does. There is plenty of enchanting scenery, shopping, sports to include golf, bowling, camping, fishing and hiking, hotels, motels, inns and a YMCA. There is also plenty of city parks, campgrounds, museums, exhibits and an avid nightlife. The young and the old will enjoy the fun and the beauty, time and time again!
