BIO
This story began in a small town of Sturgis, Michigan, on June 18th, 1957 at 7:47 p.m. with the birth of Ronald B. Guerin. With the assistance of delivery nurses Ron made his first impression as a newborn artist, with black ink on his feet, contact printed his tiny footprints on a freshly prepared birth certificate. Welcome to the world of artists, where artists are not born into the world, yet they grow into the art at various ages. At an early age of about eleven, Ron was searching for the meaning of the word “Guerin”. Looking for the definition in the Webster’s Unabridged Dictionary the word described an artist and from there his interest in art grew.
His career began with his first job as a department store manager and then moved into a creative field with the study of photography while serving in the United States Air Force as an award winning Still Photographic Specialist. His creative pursuits continued as an award winning photojournalist for the Alamogordo Daily News, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. It was not until January 2002 that he went back to college at the International Academy of Design & Technology in Tampa, Florida. This is where his interests in the arts were rekindled, the spark was set, so begins the fire and the quest to share this artistic expression as a professional artist with the entire world.
